Mary Bucci McCoy specializes in meeting the web and print design needs of a geographically diverse clientele of artists of all disciplines. She started Big Picture Communications in the greater Boston, MA area in 1996, and draws upon nearly 25 years of experience in the areas of graphic design, web site development, and content development. She has created web sites, logos, corporate identities, and a wide range of print materials including booklets and exhibit catalogs, brochures, postcards, business cards, and stationery. Mary's work is informed by her experience as an artist and arts writer, and also in the corporate and academic worlds. Her firsthand knowledge of the art world gives her a clear understanding of the specific issues faced by artists; she is able to meet the specific needs of artists at any stage of their career, whether they are emerging, mid-career, or mature artists. Mary is represented by the Kingston Gallery in Boston's SoWa gallery district. Her December 2010 exhibit there, Mary Bucci McCoy: Trace, was positively reviewed by Art New England and was a finalist for Best Painting Show in the New England Art Awards. See artwork > Other 2010 exhibits included a solo exhibit in the Main and Center galleries of Kingston in January; a solo exhibit of her work at Rhode Island College, Providence, RI; and she was included in a 4-person exhibit of works on paper at AG Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Her work is in the White Columns curated artist registry, and has appeared in New American Paintings. It is included in several collections, including that of Fidelity Investments. She is a longtime contributor of reviews to Art New England magazine. Read reviews > She teaches a graphic design course at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA, has served on the Beverly Cultural Council and has been a member of the adivisory board of the Artists Foundation. Prior to starting Big Picture Communications, she managed publications at the internationally recognized Center for Information Systems Research at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Mary holds a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA), Boston and a BA in English from Tufts University. She has studied ceramic sculpture at l'Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Geneva, Switzerland, and has done additional course work at Massachusetts College of Art, the SMFA and the University of Pennsylvania. |
